With the warm weather finally approaching, I’m starting to plan some fun road trips! I’m the kind of gal that always needs something to look forward to. For my regular readers, you know that I’m obsessed with Frankfort, Michigan (about 6 hours north of Chicago) — In fact, it’s where my husband proposed. Oh, and for those of you that follow along on my IG story, you see a lot of Frankie appearances — yup, we even named our dog after it. (PS: Sorry about the overload, she’s just too cute!)
Road trips have always been a favorite of mine! Something about the open road, playlist tunes and conversation. Today, I’m teaming up with State Farm and their Assist Patrol program to bring you the ultimate throwback. I’m not sure what it is lately, but I’ve been feeling so nostalgic. Maybe it’s all of our favorite 90’s shows making a comeback, but I’m missing the good ole’ days. I was thinking back to my favorite games, and immediately thought of MASH. You know what I’m talking about — will you live in a mansion, apartment, shack or house?! Who are you going to marry, and what kind of wheels are you going to drive!? In honor of road trips and passing the time, I’ve created a print-out of the game to keep you busy! I think my husband will like this a lot better than my Snapchat obsession (why are those filters so funny?!) This game will force you off the phones, and into the present. If you need a refresher on how the game works, visit here.
I’m a really big advocate of the Assist Patrol program because I’m married to someone who can’t even put air in the tires. (Sorry, babe!) Basically, each fleet of Assist Patrol vehicles patrols the highway looking for crashes, stranded motorists and dangerous debris — they provide free assistance and help drivers get safely on their way (tire change, minor mechanical problem, etc). Currently, the program is in 15 states, with 20 sponsored patrols. In IL, the program is called ‘Illinois Tollway’s Highway Emergency Lane Patrol (H.E.L.P.), sponsored by State Farm. You can learn more about it here, and I’m loving that State Farm supports the Illinois Tollway in going the extra mile to keep us safe on those road trips and beyond!
